SPIN DOCTORS HAD A POCKET FULL OF KRYPTONITE AND A REFRIGERATOR CAR
This is the first of four or five blogs i am going to post tonight which i am going to write randomly, a bit diffrent style to my normal one. Forgive me if i dont delve too deeply into the band history and personnel, writing off the cuff really only allows me to scratch the surface and talk about a song or album of interest. The SPIN DOCTORS become known as the band that self destructed on the road when they toured with DEEP PURPLE in america during the mid 90`s, DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan was once quoted as saying that the young members of the SPIN DOCTORS didn't even know how to set up their own equipment on stage properly, such was the haste of the band's meteorogical rise from garage demo band to being a support act for one of the world's biggest hard rock bands. The 1993 album POCKET FULL OF KRYPTONITE contained two hit singles, LITTLE MISS CANT BE WRONG and TWO PRINCES, apart from these two songs the rest of them are somewhat muddied in production and lacking a theme. But i have always liked REFRIGERATOR CAR, in Australia anyway the song was never released as a single, great drum led introduction the perfect beginning.
