H-HOUR HOTEL IS WHERE IT ALL STARTED FOR COLD CHISEL

Better look after my australian fans i guess and put an all time australian rock lost treasure on here, and one of the first that comes to mind was one of the first songs COLD CHISEL ever wrote. Goes all the way back to 1976 when Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Phil Small, Don Walker and Steven Prestwich were scutting teeth as amateurish Free-sounding renegades trying to break onto the australian pub rock scene. H-HOUR HOTEL ended up making it onto their first album, but in demo form, it also featured on a special 3 CD release in 1994 titled 3 BIG HITS, a collection that was released one CD at a time. I never ended up getting the third disc, but i got the first two. The two i got is an interesting collection of COLD CHISEL anomalies, including a cover of RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGH and a cover of a song that JOE COCKER made famous, LETS GO GET STONED, with australian divas RENEE GEYER and VENETTA FIELDS providing the backing vocals. H-HOUR HOTEL comes off disc 1, along with TEENAGE LOVE AFFAIR, another Don Walker composition, H-HOUR HOTEL is classic Cold Chisel that rarely gets talked about, and certainly never gets played on the radio.
