CHRIS REA - YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAY
Chris Rea on the odd occasion was really shit hot, he is one of the greatest but most underated singer/songwriters ever, i put him in the same class as Bryan Adams, Jackson Browne and Neil Young, but sadly for Rea, americans in general never really have taken to him and his elegant style of pop rock and blues tinged rock. His scholarly slide guitar playing normally always taking centre stage, particularly with intros and instrumental breaks. One of his most heavy songs ever was the 1993 B-Side YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAY, the A-Side being EXPRESSO LOGIC. It will never go down as being the most magical lyrical moment for Rea, but guitar wise, it really does growl. A blistering drum attack by his drummer takes the song to an epic stadium sound level. One of the best B-side in the history of rock.
