RUFUS HUFF RISES UP AGAINST THE CRAZY MAMA

  

Been nearly two years since a mate of mine in Australia put me onto RUFUS HUFF, nearly two years on they are my favourite american roots/blues band. Led by THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS lynchpin GREG MARTIN, RUFUS HUFF is the perfect blend of texas blues and southern rock, with dixie and alternative rock thrown in as well.

A great introduction to the band for anyone would be TRIBUTE TO JJ CALE - THE INSTRUMENTAL SESSIONS VOL 1 and 2, CRAZY MAMA has got one of the most intense guitar riffs around, very reminiscent of Billy Gibbons out of ZZ TOP with a good topping of some Hendrix grunt.
