STOP AND LISTEN TO JANES ADDICTION

JANES ADDICTION won critical acclaim for the 1990 album RITUAL DE LO HABITUAL, ask most fans of this seminal alternative rock band what the best song on this their third release is and they'll likely nominate the avante garde and self indulgent THREE DAYS, which is in fact a song about a menage a trois between two women and a man lasting three days - lucky bloke, some guys have all the luck (laugh), or the theme song for kleptomaniacs called BEEN CAUGHT STEALING. Personally i dont like either, but the more hard rock influenced opening anthem STOP is one of the best songs JANES ever recorded. Although it always got less critical acclaim, the preceding album NOTHINGS SHOCKING, which features an even more controversial album cover than RITUAL DE LO HABITUAL displaying a woman with her titties on fire, is a more accomplished recording. My favourite JANES song is PIGS IN ZEN off NOTHINGS SHOCKING.
