JOSHUA PERAHIA KEEPS PAINFUL MEMORIES OF SEPTEMBER 11 ALIVE WITH BLOOD ON THE NILE

America is still healing 11 years after the September 11 terrorist attacks which resulted in the deaths of around 3000 innocent people. I personally think the time has come for all americans, including families of the victims, as well as politicians including President Barack Obama, to move on from 9-11 and wherever possible avoid rehashing the past, rehashing the horrific events of that terrible day. Fair enough, in the years immediately following 2001, on the anniversary of September 11, i could fully understand the neccesity and the benefit to victim's families by staging official commemorations in New York City, but nothing will ever fully quench the grief for the families of 9-11 victims, they could stage a commemoration at ground zero for the next fifty years but it wont bring back anyone. I have to wonder why JOSHUA PERAHIA, who is a very talented and little known christian soft metal guitarist who has a band simply known as JOSHUA, would bother to go down the lyrical path he did with the song BLOOD ON THE NILE, which is a song on his recent album RESURRECTION. The song itself is okay, but i personally think the footage of 9-11 used in the video here just has too much of a jingoistic vibe to it. Patriotism is fine, but it shouldn't be overused, even by musicians, to keep memories of September 11 alive when they too should be laid to rest with all those who lost their life.
