NICKEL CREEK WERE AT THE FOREFRONT OF PROGRESSIVE FOLK
I was starting to think you guys have heard enough about my teeth (laugh), so to get away from things less painful I thought I should actually write about some music for once.
Trust me, I am not joking, the alchohol is wearing off now, this flamin' tooth of mine is giving me curry big time again, but amidst the pain and the aggravation I somehow found a soft spot for the progressive folk band NICKEL CREEK.
The american three piece of CHRIS THILE on mandolin, SARA WATKINS on fiddle and SEAN WATKINS on guitar released six albums between 1993 and 2006, disbanding in 2007.
The band's greatest hits compilation released in 2006, titled REASONS WHY (THE VERY BEST) is an excellent representation of the band's best material over the whole six albums.
My favourite song of the band is OUT OF THE WOODS off the self titled album in 2000. Time for me to take another Nurofen, this tooth is a real bitch (laugh).
