ELTON JOHN AND DARREN HAYES TWO GAY BOYS WHO CAN SOUND VERY STRAIGHT

Most likely it's some record company contractual BS, something like that, but i find it crazy that one of the best songs ELTON JOHN ever recorded, HEALING HANDS, is a notable omission from two greatest hits compilations released in the past decade. HEALING HANDS was from memory released around 1990 at about the same time when John's heartfelt ballad SACRIFICE was released. I am not knocking YELLOW BRICK ROAD or John's early music but all his greatest hits to date have been lopsidedly represented by his 70`s output, even great songs like SAD SONGS (SAY SO MUCH) is missing i know off at least one of his compilations. Despite his homosexuality, John (AKA Reginald Dwight) never used his music as a medium to promote gay rights and his choice of lifestyle, in that way he was so much like DARREN HAYES from australian band SAVAGE GARDEN. You were never walking the gender divide listening to Elton John songs wondering if he was singing about a man and not a woman. I know DARREN HAYES broke many a teenage girl's heart in Australia in the early 2000`s when it emerged that he was gay, wisely in a commercial sense Hayes like Elton John wrote lyrics that stuck to the tried and true boy meets girl, boy wants to bonk girl theme.
