WOLVERINES ARE GOOD OL' BOYS WHO LOVE THE GOOD TIMES

If you were to cross THE HIGHWAYMEN and ZZ TOP, you might get close to creating a band with an image like THE WOLVERINES. The australian country-ish/country rock trio might be hard on the eye, but their music is either light hearted or on the odd occasion something poignant and emotive, like 65 ROSES, a song written about and inspired by a young sufferer of cystic fibrosis that the band recorded many years ago. On the flipside of 65 ROSES, the song GOOD TIMES & GOOD OL' BOYS is a larrakinish and pisstake piece of barroom rhythm and blues which definitely doesn't take itself too serious. This song belongs on every american roadhouse jukebox.
