VICTORIA BAILLIE MAKES A DEBUT APPEARANCE ON LOST TREASURES

It's been nearly two years since I saw her play a live gig, but to me VICTORIA BAILLIE is still one of the most amazing Australian female country music singers. I saw her down in Tamworth at the music festival in January, 2011 and i rated her concert as one of the highlights of my visit.

With just the right amount of rock attitude and stagecraft, Victoria should already be a superstar if she isn't, her choice of attire alone should win her quite a few male fans (laugh), she likes wearing a tight leather black mini skirt and leather boots. Victoria dresses to kill but her style of country music is very much grounded in traditional country with a generous dose of steel guitar.

She probably intentionally has tried to sing like an American with the Tennessee twang at times to try and win over Nashville, which she wouldn't need to do, but her high standard of songwriting, which is rich in personal conviction and very autobiographical, is very engaging and easy for the average person to relate to. Victoria sings every word like it is her last. American country music lovers should love her. I wasn't real sure what song i should feature of Victoria, but WALKED IN LEAVING is a ripper.
