ULTIMATE MARKS IN THE GAME OF AUSTRALIAN RULES
Suffering a bit of writers block at the moment, especially with music, so i thought i would take the oppurtunity to introduce my predominantly american audience to the wonders of australian rules football, and the most exciting component of the game - marking. Marking refers to catching the ball against the opponent, as a defensive or offensive measure, on any part of the field. I cant say i have watched too many games of gridiron in my time, but i take it gridiron players dont make such a habit of jumping on the back of their opponents like australian rules players do. This video is a collection of the greatest marks ever between the 1960`s and 1990`s, the two marks which i rate as being the best was a screamer taken by CARLTON forward STEVEN SILVAGNI and another one taken by WARWICK CAPPER when he was playing in SYDNEY SWANS colours sometime during the late 80`s. But all the marks featured in this collection are all very worthy to be placed in the category of greatness. All my american readers need now is a hot dog and ketchup and they'll probaly forget about gridiron (laugh).
