HANS THEESINK THE DUTCH BLUESMAN WALKING THE DOG IN LONDON
If you were under the impression that white knuckle electric blues had to come out of america or england then the dutch blues veteran slinger, HANS THEESINK, who is a citizen of Austria, should convince you otherwise. Theesink has released numerous albums over the years, including some more acoustic and unplugged sounding ones and even experimental ones, such as the album he recorded with fellow euro guitarists PETER RATZENBECK and MICHAEL LANGER titled GITARRE X 3, a mostly instrumental album which i would highly recommend to musicians, totally devoid of pop hooks and what you might call the quinessential guitarists guitarist album. A bit hard to pick one song out for You Tube here, but this live club performance of Theesink on his own performing WALKING THE DOG in London around 1997 captures him as good as what he ever sounded on stage. Check him out, my favourite album of his is still one of his very early ones, maybe it was his debut, not sure, but it's called JOHNNY AND THE DEVIL.
