KINGDOM COME IS THE ULTIMATE COCK ROCK EXPERIENCE

After i posted the Creed blog earlier this evening, i thought i should dig some old school hair band metal up to go with the grunge metal of Creed. Something a bit more on the obscure side, Creed isn't exactly that.

I only wrote about Creed to try and be popular (laugh). A much underated metal band of the 80`s which always comes to mind is KINGDOM COME, a band often accused of plageurising LED ZEPPELIN.

On a few of the band's songs i can see a bit of Plant/Page plageurising, not so much musically but more so with stagecraft, but for the most part, i think KINGDOM COME took off OZZIE OSBOURNE, ALICE COOPER, EUROPE, even pop metal acts like WHITE LION, just as much as the Zeps.

Some if not all of Kingdom Come's video clips are funny as, certainly these guys never took themselves seriously. KINGDOM COME started out as a multi-national band, led out front by german born vocalist LENNY WOLF, with americans DANNY STAG (lead guitarist), RICK STEIER (guitarist) and JAMES KOTTAK (drums) making up the rest of the original line-up.

Officially according to what i know, there is still only ever been two KINGDOM COME records released, the self titled debut (1988) and IN YOUR FACE (1989), but the band apparently is still going as an all german affair, with the american band members no longer in the picture.

The debut is considered to be the best of the two, but the song DO YOU LIKE IT, off IN YOUR FACE, is my favourite. Kingdom Come is the ultimate cock rock experience.
