WOLFMOTHER GIVE 'KEEP MOVING' A TEST RUN FOR THE NEW ALBUM
WOLFMOTHER is one of the greatest retro-rock bands ever concieved, when CHRIS ROSS and MYLES HESKETT left singer/guitarist ANDREW STOCKDALE high and dry by quiting the band in 2008 it was widely expected that WOLFMOTHER would fold after one gloriously freewheeling psychedelically tinged blues rock debut album from 2005. However, Stockdale's determination to overcome such a crippling void in the ranks and re-invent WOLFMOTHER with new band members was one of the greatest comebacks in the history of rock, and gave birth to the magnificent album COSMIC EGG in 2009. There have been a number of personnel changes during the Mark 2 line up era of the band, namely two drummers DAVE ATKINS and WILL ROCKWELL-SCOTT and rhythm guitarist AIDAN NEMETH leaving the band, reportedly more because of artistic diffrences with Stockdale than any sort of personal conflict as was the case between Stockdale and his two original bandmates. But as long as Stockdale is in the band it seems the WOLFMOTHER story will continue, and a new album is in the pipeline for release in 2013. One new song off the new album might well be the one which WOLFMOTHER Mark 3 are performing in the video here called KEEP MOVING. It's down as being a new song, and i checked the track listing of COSMIC EGG to make sure it wasn't hiding on there. It's not on there, so yes, this is 'unofficially' a new WOLFMOTHER song, and you heard it on Lost Treasures Review. Another 'demo' song which WOLFMOTHER are currently performing live, called OFF THE EARTH, will most probaly also appear on the much anticipated third album. Both songs really pump, this performance of KEEP MOVING is amateur footage of a concert in Germany during 2012.
