THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH EXPORTED TO AUSTRALIA VIA LOST TREASURES REVIEW
Obviously these guys are huge in the States already, because this clip has had well over a million views. But i'm fairly confident that the christian rock group THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH hasn't earned household name status in Australia yet, despite having released seven albums and being around since 1995. They were nice enough to follow me on Twitter (laugh) so i'm repaying the favour by posting a song of their's on here so my australasian readers in particular get to hear their music. Christian rock has a huge market in the US, but in Australia it has always been maligned and put in the minority appeal bracket by mainstream radio stations. In america, christian rock does occasionally make it onto mainstream radio playlists, particularly in the bible belt regions. In Australia, there is none and buckley's chance of that happening. THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH are fairly much in the mould of CREED, with a less structured approach like NICKELBACK and with an angst punk element like LINKIN PARK. The band isn't just another second generation CREED or NICKELBACK, they have their own unique sound. To me they even can sound a bit like FINGER ELEVEN, but more metal. THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH come from Canada, and since 1995 there have been numerous line-up changes, the current core members of the band is the trio of TREVOR MCNEVAN (vocals/guitar), JOEL BRUYERE (bass/backing vocals) and STEVE AUGUSTINE (drums). The band tours with a sans band including three others, which at present includes ANDREW WELCH, JAMIE APLIN and NICK BAUMHARDT. Check out this tune MOVE, it really rips a mean hook.
