To be honest I know sweet bugger all about the late 60`s and 70`s English band SPOOKY TOOTH, other than Foreigner guitarist MICK JONES briefly deputised in the band in the early 70`s when the band was experiencing some personnel issues.
Very much influenced by HUMBLE PIE and FREE would be my very first assumption after listening to a few of their clips.
Performing live was apparently always the band's best asset, and in 2007 one incarnation of the band re-united on stage to perform a concert which included the performance of EVIL WOMAN included with this post.
Their studio recordings sound a bit humdrum for the most part, certainly not in the league of Led Zeppelin, Free or Aerosmith in the 70`s.
But the band brought out the big guns here like only old fart rockers know how to, and brought the house down with what can only be described as a brutal performance in comparison to BRUNO MARS (laugh).
Seriously this is the first time in my life I have gone digging for SPOOKY TOOTH music, so it's a bit hard for me to be serious about writing this.
I actually wrote this blog for Mark in Sacramento, in response to an email request. He rates EVIL WOMAN as his favourite track so I went with that.
