BUCK ROGERS AND DOCTOR WHO WILL HOPEFULLY GET KILLED BY DARTH VADAR
The opening song SUSPENSION to the 1979 film BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY sounds so dated in 2012 you could be forgiven for thinking GARY GLITTER went into crooner mode and was the dude singing it (laugh), but it was in fact KIPP LENNON. Heard of him? You probaly haven't, he didn't exactly set the charts on fire. The movie of course spawned a marginally more popular TV series in the early 80`s, a case of STAR WARS meets DOCTOR WHO, the movie and to an even bigger extent the TV series was pointless even by sci-fi's rather airy fairy standards, at least with STAR WARS William Shatner and the crew served up a good helping of free flowing satire, Buck Rogers humour was always so forced it was almost stressful to watch the show. There wouldn't be too many eggs left in my fridge if someone made me sit through an evening of watching BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY and DOCTOR WHO because they would be all splattered over my TV screen (laugh).
