HOLLYWOOD FATS JAMMING WITH JAMES HARMAN
Pardon me for the poor sound and visual of this You Tube video, but i just had to put this thing on here no matter what. This is american blues heritage what you are seeing here, the ultimate blues guitarist MICHAEL MANN, who took on the name of HOLLYWOOD FATS, only ever made one record with his own band in 1979, but he often hung out on stage with JAMES HARMAN, a well respected harmonica player in a classic west coast blues band bearing his name - THE JAMES HARMAN BAND.
This footage probaly was recorded sometime in the early 80`s, HOLLYWOOD FATS was sizzling and belingerent, he sounded like a blues guitarist, a rock'n'roll' guitarist and a jazz guitarist all rolled into one. I have written a couple of articles about HOLLYWOOD FATS BAND but they didn't come with live footage of this man in action tearing up the stage.
You dont have a blues collection until you get your hands on the album HOLLYWOOD FATS BAND - ROCK THIS HOUSE, in the meantime, check this out. Honestly, HOLLYWOOD FATS would have blown JOHN BONAMASSA, KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD and every other blues rock sellout off the stage. This is the stuff that musical legends are made of.
