GOLDILOX IS KING'S X POWER ROCK AT ITS BEST

Killing time here sitting in my lounge at Toogoolawah, just about to get up and start packing the car to head back to the big smoke, but i thought to myself, what the heck, let's chuck another song on Lost Treasures before i turn the computer off.

This blog is certainly becoming more america-centric all the time, the fact is at any one moment 85 to 90% of my audience is from the United States, so hence i guess that explains why i am writing mostly about american music these days.

I have to write stuff which i feel will interest the people who read Lost Treasures, and if most of my audience is from one country, then i have to make allowances for that. However i must say that my readership level in Australia has improved somewhat in the past two weeks, co-incidence or not, and i thank all my aussie readers for their interest in Lost Treasures.

The UK is actually where i do the worst believe it or not, i actually have a bigger following in countries like Germany, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, Norway, The Netherlands and Canada than in the UK. Even the likes of France, Brazil, Argentina and Chile are providing me more readers than in the UK.

I must be the ENGLISHMEN WHO WENT UP A HILL and COME DOWN AN AMERICAN, because i am not exactly winning any popularity contests in England as a writer. Very strangely i wrote a blog about the Roxette song DO YOU GET (EXCITED) just over a week ago, and the thing went absolutely viral on Facebook.

It ended up scoring 800 unique page views and probaly generated around 3500 generic views of Lost Treasures, mostly in Europe. If only just 20% of those people who read that particular blog would become regular readers of Lost Treasures on an ongoing basis, i would be guarenteed hundreds of unique views per article.

It was a fluke, nothing more than that, yes it was a neat little article about Roxette and that song but lets put it this way, i have written hundreds of blogs which are a lot better. I can tell you that if i get 100 unique page views an article and we'll say 300 to 400 generic views of Lost Treasures per article that i am doing damn good. Generally, i am getting around 150 to 200 readers a day in the United States, that's unique page views and generic views put together.

In Australia i am happy to get 30 or 40. Occasionally, when i fluke something like the ROXETTE article on DO YOU GET (EXCITED), my readership temporarily enters the 4 digit category.

Anyhow, here is the number two track off the debut KINGS X album in 1988 called GOLDILOX, KINGS X to this day remain somewhat of a cult act, the band is regarded by some alternative rock bands as being the original prototype alternative rock band, KINGS X in their early years incorporated elements of metal, progressive rock and pop to come up with their groundbreaking sound.

GOLDILOX features some beautiful backing vocals from guitarist Ty Tabor, like you'd hear in a church choir, and he is also the one who supplies the crushing powerchords which make this song a power rock epic.
