THE HEP STARS (FEATURING BENNY ANDERSSON) GETTING THE SHAKES ON STAGE IN 1965

Seeing that i just took a musical detour to Sweden with Roxette, i thought why not chuck in a couple of blogs about some other swedish rock heritage. The music is not even really what makes this footage way out there and controversial for its time, but it's the maniac stage antics from the members of THE HEP STARS, remembering they were a swedish beat group of the mid 1960`s, not a band of punk rockers. THE HEP STARS included a very young Benny Andersson on keyboards, who of course went on to become the artistic cornserstone of 70`s superband ABBA. I saw this clip around 6 months ago, and i think it's hilarious, how one of the band members didn't get decapitated from a flying guitar was amazing. WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN GOIN ON was just one of many english covers THE HEP STARS played live, but judging by the screams of the girls in the audience here, i reckon this song was the one which earned the boys the most backstage BANGS!
