ROY SCHEIDER SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHIPPED IN FROM AMITY TO HUNT DOWN ANOTHER MAN EATING RAZORBACK

Razorback is one of those aussie B-grade horror movies where you never find out if the humour was intended or not. For all the bad acting and far fetched nature of the gigantic man eating wild pig plot of the movie, there are a few splashes of quite brilliant outback australia cinematography, none more better than the opening scene that i've featured in the You Tube clip. Despite the cheap budget production of Razorback and the ridiculous premise of the movie where a razorback pig the size of a great white shark gets around the outback causing mayhem and eats a few people along the way, you cant knock it for any lack of originality. Seeing that Roy Scheider had knocked off JAWS years beforehand, perhaps it was a missed oppurtunity for the movie's producers to not hunt down another huge wild boar in outback australia and ship in Scheider from Amity to hunt down a very diffrent beast as part of the second Razorback movie which never eventuated.
