CHICKENFOOT THE BEST HEAVY ROCK GUITAR ON EARTH

If you believed one of the very offensive comments which somebody has made to this You Tube video, then US supergroup CHICKENFOOT apparently has completely bombed out with this much anticipated follow up to their hugely successful debut album in 2009.

But because I dont have the stats for record sales in front of me I wont take this as gospel, however in case CHICKENFOOT 3 was a commercial flop, I thought I better help this classic blues and Led Zeppelin inspired bunch of old rockers out and feature the single off the new album on Lost Treasures Review.

Instead of retiring and resting on his heavy rock guitar laurels, 64 year old Sammy Hagar, alongside his former Van Halen teammate Michael Anthony, guitar whiz Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith, just keeps rocking and truly this old bugger inspires me to stay young both physically and mentally.

I'm 37 and if in 27 years from now I can still jump around like Hagar is in Chickenfoot I will be very happy.

Hagar's performance for the 2 Chickenfoot albums leaves his Van Halen and solo stuff for dead, it's like he has finally discovered a way to enter into the Robert Plant rock demigod category, and in truly convincing fashion.

Satriani has also been an awesome revelation in Chickenfoot, some of his guitar licks in this band is the closest any guitarist has come to mimicking the blues density and texture of Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and at the same time playing his typical instrumentally inspired eclectic lead guitar parts at the same time.

Satriani is that good and quick that essentially he's a lead and rhythm guitarist in one. So anyway, here it is, BIG FOOT.

Like speeded up funk with the typically punctuated guitar heroics of Satriani, and the video itself is really funny.

A guy dressed up like a chicken gets up to some mischief by scaring a few kids and acting like the Grinch with feathers.
