JAMES BOND GATECRASHED NORTH KOREA ON A SURFBOARD AND STUCK IT TO THE BAD GUYS
Of course i very much doubt that Pierce Brosnan was one of the daring trio who boardrided their way into North Korea as part of the stunning opening to DIE ANOTHER DAY, but then again, seeing that Brosnan turned into James Bond 007, you never know, because 007 can do just about anything, even as much as making a pen turn into a nuclear warhead. Well that's a stretch but i know he can weave a lot more magic than myself as far as seducing gorgeous women goes. Following a rumoured breakdown in negotiations with the creators of James Bond, which was also rumoured to be the result of Brosnan's increasing inability to physically perform some of the stunts involved in being James Bond, he was given the flick in favour of present Bond, Daniel Craig, who is due to appear in the much anticipated SKYFALL, his third outing as Bond following the well recieved CASINO ROYALE and the solid but not so inspiring QAUNTUM SOLACE. For all of Craig's bigger muscles and better executed stunt work, Brosnan was the better for being more like the original Bond, Sean Connery, with a greater emphasis on gadgetry and intentional diversions into satire than his heir apparent. I was nearly going to use the classic tank chase scene out of Brosnan's first Bond movie GOLDENEYE as the video clip, but You Tube has disabled anyone from downloading the two currently viewable on there. So i chose my second favourite scene from a Pierce Brosnan Bond movie - the opening to DIE ANOTHER DAY, which is cinematography at its best. I have to ignore seeing Halle Berry in a bikini when deciding what my favourite Brosnan Bond scene is. Arr well, seen one set of boobs you've seen 'em all.
