SAMMY HAGAR WILL BE THINKING OF YOU IF YOU READ THIS BLOG

Here's one more song from Sammy Hagar's ESSENTIAL RED COLLECTION before i go to bed, this one actually dates right back to 1974 when Hagar was still a member of MONTROSE, obviously an indication even back then that he was already unsettled in that band and looking to make a solo detour. It's called THINKING OF YOU and was previously unreleased before the release of this 2004 compilation. Pretty much it's a standard mid 70`s stadium rock song with a big meaty riff like you would have expected to hear from AEROSMITH or off the first Monrose album, tapers off a bit too much at the end, Hagar probaly should have snipped off the last 45 seconds, but the song is still a good example of american heavy rock, pre-dating his most celebrated recording RED in 1977.
