Hugely popular in but virtually unknown outside of the US, the Kentucky Headhunters are as Tennessee as Tennessee gets, just the sort of band you'd sit down to listen to eating cornbread soaked in Jack Daniel's in a pub full of pool players dressed in flannelette. The guitarist/vocalist in the band, Greg Martin, is the most renowned member of the KH and would go on to form the more blues inspired outfit RUFUS HUFF. The Kentucky Headhunters are a no-nonsense, bread and butter american country rock band. DUMAS WALKER is over 20 years old now, a song which sums up the predictable but rootsy style of the KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS.
