TIM'S TOP 20 PARTY ROCK SONGS : TRACK 1
Before i changed the name and theme of this website a week or so ago, i already had it in mind to write a series of blogs featuring some of my favourite party rock songs of all time, in the same vein of the SIX PACK OF ROCKERS YOU NEVER HEAR ON THE RADIO blogs i wrote a long time ago, never made it past number six (laugh). That idea was just another victim of the comments snub that this website just cant shake off. Actually the first four went onto Badrick Unadulterated No. 1 website before i realised that they were just a wee bit out of place on my then politically charged original website (laugh). This is simple, i am no longer reviewing musos and bands as such, that went out the window a week ago along with the name Tim's Lost Treasures Review, i am more so just promoting musos and bands from now on and letting you know what i reckon sounds good. If i could get a few other commenters besides my good mate BUDDY WILSON, i might would still bother to research what tone comes from what guitar and what brand cymbals DANIEL ADAIR uses (laugh). In the absense of comments you are going to get a much more circumspect style of musical journalism from me. To start off TIM'S TOP TWENTY PARTY ROCK SONGS series, here is an absolutely brilliant R&B boogie woogie gem from a trio of women who were much more famous for a string of syntheziser laden pop songs in the early to mid 80`s called THE POINTER SISTERS, who can ever forget going skating in 1984 and hearing AUTOMATIC, JUMP (FOR MY LOVE) and NEUTRON DANCE. Great pop songs, but BLIND FAITH from 1979 is my fav POINTER SISTERS tune, one of the great party rock songs. Apologies too for the poor sound quality of this clip.
