HICKMAN & CASSIDY AT THE UXBRIDGE FOLK CLUB

Hickman and Cassidy are a recent edition to my Twitter followers, i didn't think too much about until just a while ago when it dawned on me that fiddle player Dan Cassidy is the brother of musical royalty, the brother of the late and grand diva Eva Cassidy. James Hickman is the english member of the trans-Atlantic folk duo, Cassidy being the american connection. The pair got together in 2008 and have recorded one album SEVERN STREET, released in 2009, and have since written enough material to make another album, songs which have already been given a good live workout in their hunting ground of the Scottish highlands and the Isle of Wight. It's easy to see why their very traditional but imaginative interpretation of folk has captured a small but loyal and hardcore celtic audience.
