MURDER OF STEPHANIE SCOTT MUST BE THE CATALYST FOR NATIONWIDE MANDATORY SENTENCES

This week, Stephanie Scott and her fiancée Aaron Leeson-Woolley should now be married and enjoying a honeymoon together after their wedding on the weekend.

But heartbreakingly and tragically, some insane and obviously psychotic scumbag saw fit to senselessly kill her. Regardless of if it was a spontaneous thrill killing or premeditated, it really doesn't matter now, this innocent young woman is dead, and its cold blooded murder regardless.

Stephanie Scott's murder reflects a very troubling trend right across Australia of a spike in violent crime against women, and quite clearly, there has to be a national discussion take place, headed by the state Attorney-Generals, to nip this trend in the bud.

Leftist lawyers, civil libertarians and most of the senior plank in our courts will never support it, because they see it as political sabotage of the judicial system, always have and always will, but too bad, every state in Australia needs to introduce mandatory sentencing for all homicidal crime, it's as simple as that.

Meaning that if you kill another human being you will serve a guaranteed time in prison with no chance of early parole.QLD A-G Yvette D'ath and her interstate counterparts should take note and back mandatory sentencing for murder 100%.
