One of Chuck Berry`s songs features amongst them, to me Chuck was the original party rocker, just like some people think that Johnny Cash was the original punk.
Chuck was a black American of course, the fact that he charted as well as what he

He was not a genius like Holly or Elvis, he mostly stuck to a simple 2 chord strum down style which while pleasing to the ear lacked the adventurous innovation of those rock`n`roll kings.
The rather overlooked song of his which I warm up with at many an air guitar party is MEMPHIS TENNESSEE, often shortened to MEMPHIS, depending on what CD you
buy.

It doesn`t sound that different to the typical Berry fare, just a bit more of a direct blues style than what you usually get, to me a slowed down equivalent of BO DIDDLEY by Bo Diddley.
Unlike Diddley, Chuck wasn`t up himself and he never wrote a song called CHUCK
BERRY, at least to my knowledge.

What he did do is write this lasting toast to the blues capital of the world with one of his more bluesy performances.
