RUDD AND HOCKEY ON SUNRISE AND THE BLACK EYED PEAS

Always willing to try something a bit diffrent, i dont normally cross over into politics on Badrick Unadulterated 2 but seeing that writing this gives me a chance to put some shit on Kevin Rudd and Joe Hockey, two extremely superficial and hugely egotistical high profile australian politicians, i just had to run with the thought.

You have to give it to both of them, Rudd, who of course is the former prime minister for the Australian Labor Party but who got knifed by current PM Julia Gillard and her factional horde in the party, and Joe Hockey, the federal treasurer aspirant for the Liberal Party who appears very likely to become just that later this year after the federal election, are political survivors and masters of media manipulation.

Rudd proved to be a dud between November 2007 and June 2010 when he was the prime minister, why so many australians still hero worship the guy is beyond me, according to Morgan and Nielsen polls Rudd would go very close to getting the ALP over the line by an absolute whisker if he replaced the very unpopular Julia Gillard.

Hockey the big sook has blocked me on Twitter ever since i grilled him on there about his party's GST and tax free threshold policy, fact is if a would be federal treasurer cant handle that sort of scrutiny from an independent writer then he's profoundly unworthy to be annointed as the second highest ranking politician in the country in the likely event Tony Abbott wins the next election for the Liberal Party.

Rudd and Hockey have sure been around for a long time now, when you put their names together you might well remember their old choreographed argy bargy get togethers on the Channel 7 morning show SUNRISE, which come to an end after Rudd replaced Kim Beazley as Opposition Leader in the months leading up to the 2007 election, which Rudd won by beating John Howard.

On this occasion, see the video above, Rudd and Hockey were a bit more civilised towards each other than normal, their appearance on Sunrise here was the day before the 2004 election, which Howard and the Liberals went on to win. Hockey here looks like he swallowed a sheep, looks like he should have been on THE BIGGEST LOSER instead, but 9 years later the serial Twitter blocker has shed the kilos and has lost that double chin.

Around that time THE BLACK EYED PEAS had scored a huge international hit with the song WHERE IS THE LOVE off their hip hop funk classic album ELEPHUNK, and from memory i think both Hockey and Rudd kind of adopted the song to deflate their political rivalry on camera.
