CRUTCHER AND FAGAN OUT THE COURIER MAIL DOOR

This only needs to be short & sweet, as many of my readers are aware back in early 2010, on March 3rd to be precise, two senior Courier Mail journalists, one being the then editor David Fagan and the other being the editor who replaced him, Michael Crutcher, placed upon me an indefinite ban as a letter contributor in the paper, and effectively over time, destroyed my passion and overall interest for the print media.

Only by my own intuition and a few tipoffs from a number of Brisbane political figures i only discovered many months later that it was all a carefully planned and manipulated agenda to shut me down after the Australian Press Council found both Fagan and Crutcher acted unethically regarding CM coverage of what i refer to as the Elimbah land scam. It's a long story, i will not rehash all that, but the bottom line is i was banned as a CM letter writer to cover their arse and keep them in a job at the apex of News Limited.

Former Queensland ALP MP Henry Palaszczuk just dropped a bombshell to me on Twitter that Crutcher is no longer the Courier Mail editor and supposedly Fagan is on the way out as well. Knowing how the Rupert Murdoch media family tree operates, i tend to think that they might be off to greener and higher pastures in the News Limited organization, but then again their nine lives might finally have dried up and they might have been given their marching orders, or at least told they're no longer wanted.

I can only hope the latter is the case, both men have marginalised me as a person and persecuted me as a writer all because i chose to be ethical and stand my ground in the one instance where their unethical approach to journalism was their undoing with the Australian Press Council. Crutcher and Fagan can go jump in the lake as far as i am concerned, it took 3 years and 3 months but finally i feel justice has been served.
