DOUBLE DOSE OF THE BLUES OFF TIN CUP

The soundtrack to the 1996 movie TIN CUP remains my quinessential favourite of them all, the movie itself tells the story of a has been, could have been but not to be washed up professional golfer turned alchoholic caravan dweller who makes the ultimate comeback to snare the woman of his dreams, RENE RUSSO, who back in the 90's was one of Hollywood's biggest sex symbols. KEVIN COSTNER and former MIAMI VICE bisexual pin-up boy DON JOHNSON play the egotistical golfers in the movie who go head to head in a bid to win the heart of Rene. In the end, Rene goes back to Kevin after he settles an old score and flogs Donny at the big golf championship. Dont want to repeat myself because going back to the very early days of this blog i covered this soundtrack, but this time, i am including two classic and comtemporary blues songs off the soundtrack which i adore, but i do like all the songs on TIN CUP actually. Buy the soundtrack forsure, but in the meantime, have a listen to DOUBLE BOGEY BLUES by MICKEY JONES and CRAPPED OUT AGAIN by KEB MO. The former of the two is definitely the theme song for every golfing hack this side of the black stump, to quote a classic australian slang terminology. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
