LIVE THREW A RATTLESNAKE INTO THE ROCK ANTHEM ARENA

LIVE is one band which was capable of inspiring you with big chorused anthems of working class life and struggles living in America but at other times fell into a mire of self indulgence which often come with 90`s alternative music.

Their big break come with 1993`s THROWING COPPER, which contained a swag of anthems including SELLING THE DRAMA, I ALONE, LIGHTNING CRASHES and ALL OVER YOU.

Their next recording SECRET SAMADHI was much more introspective and in a few places way too self indulgent in comparison to COPPER, the punk rock-ish LAKINI`S JUICE
aggravates a lot more than it inspires.

Apart from the elegant and heartfelt ballad TURN MY HEAD, the only other song on this album which extended the rock anthem legacy of the COPPER set was a brooding and spooky epic with a gradual build up intro called RATTLESNAKE.

Not as energetic or big hit single material as anything on the previous album but much more memorable.
