First Nations Australians activists "pleaded" with the Ipswich City Council to put a stop to it. The council listened. Mayor Teresa Harding and all the councillors knew that this particular development was a bridge too far in an area already desecrated by clearly inappropriate development on a grandiose scale.
So Ipswich Council knocked it on the head. Only for a clearly out of touch and ruthless Steven Miles to rubber stamp this grossly sacrilegious development, which is adjacent to the heritage listed Deebing Creek mission, because the area in question directly falls within Ripley priority development area, hence - state government control that supercedes the council.
Steven Miles, you are a clown, and not a very nice one, for abusing your authority in this way, with total disregard for First Nations Australians and their history at Deebing Creek.
