Just a thought :-
Didn't Qantas "abuse its market power" by selling thousands of tickets to unsuspecting Australian travellers for cancelled flights in a very malicious and intentional manner?
That's a question prime minister Anthony Albanese needs to give a clear answer to, in light of his statement that Qatar Airways had the potential to abuse its market power.
Despite the prime minister's denials, there is a distinct "conflict of interest element" to the communication he had with the now departed Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, which undoubtedly, had a very significant bearing on the government's decision to block more Qatar Airways flights into Australia.
Qantas, in view of the cancelled flights ticket scandal, certainly doesn't deserve any "sweetheart deal" to boost its viability and market share.
How can Anthony Albanese possibly justify having Qatar Airways, which is not guilty of any impropriety, stonewalled in a very unfair and uncompetitive manner from increasing its own market share in Australia?
