MISINFORMATION/ DISINFORMATION LAWS WILL USHER IN ALBO STYLE AUTHORITARIANISM

Constitutional expert Anne Twomey's warning in regards to the proposed laws to combat what the Albanese government decrees as being misinformation or disinformation is a warning that freedom of speech is not something that we can necessarily keep taking for granted. 

The laws would be a gross attack on some very elemental pillars of our democracy. When any government decides that it is going to control and censor personal opinions, expressions and thoughts, authoritarianism and fascism is just around the corner. This is Australia. This is not Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia. 

These laws, if enacted, will take Australia down a very rocky slope in an eerily communist like fashion. The laws in reality are not aimed to crack down on hate speech and all the diatribe on social media which is blatantly malicious, threatening and criminal. If only they were. 

They are aimed at freedom of speech, however robust and controversial that is, which opposes or merely challenges the policies of Albanese and Labor. You have been warned in advance.
