STRUNG OUT WITH STEVE PERRY

What the hell, i thought about posting this without any comment to go with it like two of my last three posts, I am becoming quite comfortable being lazy like all those who read my blog but wont make a comment :-) , but for old time's sake with such a great old AOR song like STRUNG OUT by STEVE PERRY i was 'inspired' :-P to put words to this.

An added incentive was remembering the really great response i got to another STEVE PERRY blog i wrote probaly sometime around June 2012 based upon another song of Perry's off the same album, his first solo outing without JOURNEY titled STREET TALK, which was released in 1984.

Like even the best 80's AOR albums there are a few nondescript fillers on STREET TALK which certainly couldn't be classed as unmissable classic rock, but like I can remember saying in that 2010 blog the fact is no JOURNEY album is as consistent or soulful as Perry's first solo excursion.

I can remember I got a few narky comments from 'hardcore' JOURNEY fans for suggesting that last time round (laugh) so maybe I might even get a comment for once, but please dont ask me to hold my breath, I dont want to die just yet. (laugh).

By the way, STRUNG OUT is the closing track on STREET TALK and is one of the most untempo, BILLY STEELE and CRAIG HULL, who i am sure were and remain faceless studio musicians, put in a storming performance on guitar to round out this very ballad dominated affair.
