RICHARD MARX GOT INTO THE SOUL MOTION ON HIS PAID VACATION

Here is a really brilliant AOR song, with a more soulful approach unlike the mostly hair band approach of the 80's, off the 1993 RICHARD MARX album PAID VACATION. In my opinion this album is Marx's definitive release, a perfect combination of his core influences - melodic pop rock, AOR and soul, and SOUL MOTION is one of the best songs.

The best thing about PAID VACATION, even unlike Marx's first three albums to some degree, is that it hasn't dated like just about every AOR album of the 80's and early 90's, it has a timeless appeal to it, and that can all be put down to the less structured and more freewheeling soul influences which Marx allowed to breath life on PAID VACATION. This song along with ONE MAN and GOODBYE HOLLYWOOD are quite awesome.
