DOZZI SISTERS ABOUT TO MAKE AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY SIZZLE

Just been digging through the big pile of papers which my father reads to check my Lotto numbers tonight and co-incidently i opened one up and saw an article about a sisterly trio country band called DOZZI, who come from Brisbane, Australia, and for once i kept reading a newspaper.

There are going to be obvious comparisons made between DOZZI and another very saucy all chick australian country outfit called THE MCCLYMONTS, made up of Brooke, Samantha and Mollie.

Those girls have been turning heads for years with not only a classic R&B souped up style of country heavily influenced by american barroom acts but also their choice of provocative clothing, which seems to be inspired by a young DELVENE DELANEY from the 70's (laugh).

Like the MCCLYMONTS, the three sisters from DOZZI, Andrea, Jesse and Nina appear to have a good amount of rich and textured musicianship to back up their good looks and nice sets of legs. Andrea from what i can gather generally handles the bulk of lead vocals, singing being her only contribution, with Jesse on guitar and Nina on keyboards, both the latter contributing vocals as well.

Their debut album RISK IT ALL is yet to be officially released, that is said to be happening very early in 2014, but the girls have released a few singles off the album already. THE WAY IT GOES has already garnered a healthy amount of airplay on certain Brisbane radio stations, good country song, one of my favourites at this stage is THIS TIME.

The songs LOVE AWAY THE BAD DAYS and WEAKNESS have also been released and indicate even more that RISK IT ALL is anything but a one hit wonder and the DOZZI girls has a bright future ahead in australian country music.

P.S - I updated this blog on 27/7/2016 with a new You Tube Video - a live unplugged performance of DOZZI that I reckon is just so awesome. Recorded live on Balcony TV in Brisbane.
