KEB MO WAS FEELING ALL CRAPPED OUT AGAIN

Well I love my blues and I don't mind a bit of the sophisticated touch, a bit of studio gloss to sand off the edges, provided it doesn't desecrate great blues songwriting, and KEB MO, who has sought of gone off the mainstream radar in recent years, was for many years one of the very best of a new breed of contemporary and modern blues guitarists, with a honey throated full throttle voice box to back him up.

His best album, well my favourite anyway, remains JUST LIKE YOU (1996), his definitive release simply because there isn't one flaw on the whole album, with subsequent releases still sticking to roughly the same formula but arguably a bit too formulaic and lacking the panache of JUST LIKE YOU.

The song CRAPPED OUT AGAIN off the TIN CUP soundtrack is one of my favourite Keb Mo songs and it ended up being added onto the greatest hits of sorts compilation album - MARTIN SCORSESE PRESENTS THE BLUES : KEB MO, one of many documentary albums made up of songs handpicked by the legendary movie director and screenwriter as being his favorite Keb Mo songs between 1996 and 2003. Scorsese knows his blues.
