WINTERSONG by SARAH MCLACHLAN as requested by GORGI COGHLAN

Not since i heard the late EVA CASSIDY for the first time have i been so blown away by a female singer who really has something special, something very unique and such dazzling aura as SARAH MCLACHLAN.

Confession! I only heard her for the first time about 7 minutes ago, after i quite spontaneously and in true Tim Badrick off the cuff style tweeted Channel 10 personality GORGI COGHLAN and asked her if she knew of an obscure song which i could write a blog about.

WINTERSONG was the one she suggested, i have always had a soft spot for Coghlan after Channel 10 axed THE CIRCLE, which she co-hosted, she is a really down to earth and grounded TV presenter and after my run-ins with dodgy press journalists over the past few years i have come to really appreciate the more assessible folks in the television business. Lovely person she is, and whether McLachlan is a lovely person or not, i now know just what a lovely singer she is.

Distinctive, haunting, mesmerizing and soul soothing are some of the terms i would use straight awar to describe WINTERSONG, which as yet is the only song of McLachlan's which i know. It was karma, i was meant to have a brainsnap and tweet Gorgi Coghlan tonight.
