DAVID DORING DISPLAYS AMAZING GRACE ON THE PAN FLUTE

Before tonight I never even really knew that the instrument existed, if I had heard the term 'pan flute' before today then I'm sure I would have pictured something resembling a conventional flute, and not this rather bizarre and oddball looking contraption which just so happens to produce a mesmerizing and one might say spiritually uplifting sound, well at least if german DAVID DORING is the man blowing into the apparatus.

Doring dressed in a white T-shirt, black jeans and joggers looks more like a man who belongs in the gym or running a marathon, instead of being high amongst the mountain tops at den Bergen playing an instrument which seems more suitable for a Tibetan monk dressed in camel skin robe to play.

But you can never judge a book by its cover, and Doring is at his best playing a rendition, obviously an instrumental one, of the church standard AMAZING GRACE. Make sure that you also check out his interpretation of YOU RAISE ME UP, the brilliant gospel stoked masterpiece by JOSH GROBAN.
