SPEAK UP ABOUT ANXIETY BEFORE IT GETS UPGRADED TO A PANIC ATTACK
No matter what problems we are faced with in life and to what extent those problems affect our state of mind, the old rule of thumb which any shrink would obviously bouch for as far as addressing mental health and wellbeing issues as a result of anxiety and depression is that opening up and talking about anxiety is paramount if you want to keep it together so to speak before severe anxiety snowballs into a much more debilitating panic attack.
The last month or so of my life has been a bit like the top heavy mental bookshelf which i have previously written about on the internet, the one which is nearly about to topple over as a consequence of financial and emotional pressures building up like a pressure cooker and blowing my subconcious trip switch.
We all have our share of stresses and one-off occurences which stress us out, but when a bundle of stresses descends upon us in a short space of time, not even the most positive of thinking can subdue the very physical symptoms associated with anxiety and the onset of panic attacks.
Sometimes the best we can could expect is to alleviate the symptoms before we cross the dreaded and fine line seperating the two. I cant be even more honest than to write a blog under the title of my own website and admit to the general public that i've suffered some anxiety over the past 15 years, even for a time the black dog of depression was biting at my heels as well, were it not for a substantial weight loss last year and a good diet i very much reckon i would be battling anxiety & depression, but being physically fit does help enormously the beat the latter, at least for me it did.
Dont be ashamed of admitting to other people, family, workmates or whoever, that you are suffering any form of anxiety. Anybody who wont even lend you a compassionate ear and isn't genuinely interested in hearing you out if you do confide in them about how you are feeling and how it may be affecting your persona and decision making is not even worth worrying about. Keep telling someone until you find someone with a big enough heart to help you through one of life's many rough patches.
