WOLFMOTHER MARK 1 TEAR UP THE STAGE ON JTV

Wolfmother have one thing in common with Guns & Roses, they both have lead singers who have the unique status of holding a band together that otherwise would fall part at the seams due to internal divisions and band members coming and going. Most of the time in rock history that distinction has gone to lead guitarists who lose lead singers due to that all too common illness known as 'lead singers disease'.

Axel Rose can play keyboards to my knowledge, tell me if I am wrong, and WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale happens to be one of the best Tommy Iommi and Jimmy Page copyists in rock history post the 1970's.

Okay I shouldn't say that because it will only get people thinking he plageurizes Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Stockdale doesn't do that, he just happens to recreate those chunky stadium sized blues riffs made legendary by those two bands quite brilliantly. Here is a live concert on JTV featuring the early incarnation of the band, with Stockdale joined by bass guitarist/keyboardist CHRIS ROSS and drummer MYLES HESKETT, who've long since left for 'not so greener' pastures.
