The manufacturing industry in Australia has already been gutted enough from years of displacement at the hands of cheap overseas imports, primarily from China.
It's cheap - so we buy it. Even if it isn't nearly as good quality as what "Australian made" is. I admit - I get sucked in too like everyone else, because it's cheap. Because you think - hey, it's good enough for the price.
Well I am here to tell you, I am changing my tune, and I think everyone should diligently think to do likewise.
China makes practically everything and Australia makes practically nothing, in the scheme of things.
How do we as Australians stop the rot, even if our globalist leaning politicians, all the way up to prime minister level, fail to?
Stop the rot as in - putting the breaks on globalisation, and helping in any small manner we can at a "local level" to help local industries, businesses and farmers not only survive, but prosper once more.
It's an old slogan - "shop local, buy local". Yes - keep your money as much as possible in the local economy.
Pay the extra $10 or $20 to buy in your local town, see that as being your contribution to promoting "localisation", and saying no to "globalisation".
The globalist agenda which is being increasingly pushed by the World Economic Forum, or WEF for short, is downright scary.
The WEF is best described as a "globalist cult". It's leadership, including its political puppets, which includes quite a few Australians and numerous overseas leaders, is agin to anything that seeks to promote local self sufficient economies.
There will be a mass grassroots uprising against the WEF, sooner or later. Probably not soon enough. We're talking in terms of mass revolt against western governments which are aligning themselves right now with the WEF. Will Australia be included in that? Answer is - it's not impossible.
The WEF gave birth to the ideology of globalisation and it now seems hellbent on "seeing the agenda through". By stealth if need be. Its chief mouthpieces, like Bill Gates, are doing everything they need to do to attempt to force elected governments to comply with the WEF, or else.
Absolute madness quite frankly. But yes, both major political parties in Australia are kowtowing to Schwab, Soros, Gates and everyone else holding a high rank within this mad globalist racket.
So, how can you, me and everyone else living in the Lockyer and Somerset, do something to make a stand, for the sake of your own town and region, oblivious I guess to the inevitability that our state and federal governments, are not really going to do anything to put the brakes on globalisation?
I might be repeating myself a little, but I will reiterate - support local businesses and industry to the hilt. Wherever possible buy things that are actually made in your region, or grown, by locals.
Buy your fruit and veges from a roadside stall instead of buying them at a big supermarket in Ipswich or Toowoomba, for example.
Who cares if they are a bit rumpy, or have a couple of bad spots. They'll still taste good, and what's more, you know you will be putting money on the table for a local in your part of the world.
Even if our politicians close their eyes and cover their ears, the rest of us need to do what we can to promote "localisation" at every single opportunity.
