Some things that are happening right now around a tiny dot on the central Queensland map called Lotus Creek, west of the town of St. Lawrence, are what you call "sus".
It's doubtful that what is happening there has really caught the attention of the mainstream media, to date.
But that has to change, and fast. It has to do with a wind farm development, that was only approved by the Albanese government in late 2022.
Let's just say that it has a lot to do with the destruction of a lot of pristine, untouched scrubland, and including prime koala habitat.
It's an abomination that for the sake of supplanting Albanese's ideologically driven fixation with renewable energy that his government gave the green light, obviously with absolutely no proper environmental evaluations being undertaken, to desecrate hundreds of hectares of land, which the Greens are rightfully arguing, is worthy of national park status.
All this destruction of the environment just for some wind turbines, to produce, renewable "green energy". The irony - in this case it is terrible.
The Palaszczuk government must immediately seek to intervene as much as the law allows to put a halt to the Lotus Creek Wind Farm development pending "genuine environmental evaluations" and a public acknowledgement from prime minister Anthony Albanese that something went haywire with the approval for this development being given in its current form.
