AUSTRALIAN ARTISTS OF ALL KINDS UP AGAINST A POLITICAL ROYALTY CUT AGENDA

One must wonder and question why the Turnbull government at the present time is even considering to enact new laws which will strip artists of their rightful income, by allowing their publishers to get a significantly bigger and unfair slice of royalties. 

What's in it for the government to do this, besides looking after corporate pals at the expense of individual artists who are over a barrel to fight back because of contractual obligations etc. Filmmakers, musicians, writers and many other gifted and talented people who qualify as an artist deserve better. 

The age of the internet has already eroded so many income sources for artists. Across the board the arts has lost billions worldwide over the past two decades. Artists in Australia if anything should be getting a royalty boost courtesy of the Turnbull government, not a cut.
