NEW ZEALAND IS THE LATEST TARGET OF CHINA'S WRATH OVER SOUTH CHINA SEA

The territorial dispute in the South China Sea rolls on. Now New Zealand has become a quite unlikely target of China's wrath after NZ defence minister Gerry Brownlee merely made some circumspect comments at a summit in Beijing about the need for the issue to be resolved.

Brownlee wasn't sticking his nose in where he shouldn't. He simply reiterated the view shared by most politicians in the Asia-Pacific region that the South China Sea stalemate, through negotiation and diplomacy, not hostility or even war, has to end in the best interests of regional security and world peace.

Considering Chinese president Xi Jinping's unwavering arrogance and seeming desire to incite conflict in the South China Sea, Australia's security is definitely under some degree of threat.

Geographically, the South China Sea is not far from Australia at all, and one must question what the long term agenda is of Xi's once the Chinese take over all or most of the disputed territory in question.

Seriously, what a monument balls-up it was to hand control of the Port of Darwin to China's Landbridge, for a 99 year lease.  Yes Landbridge is a "military affront", disguised as a corporation, which has proven links to the People's Liberation Army. Hands up who wants it to effectively control Australia's northern frontier. Count me out sorry!
