JURY STILL OUT ON DECIDING IF FLUORIDE IN WATER IS NOT A HEALTH HAZARD

When any lobby or individual resorts to name calling and nasty public slander, and doesn't just stick to presenting what they regard as scientific facts, like self annointed "dental experts" in Queensland and the militant Courier Mail columnist Paul Syvret are with anti-water fluoridation activists, rest assured their argument is compromised at least in part by selectivity and bias, be it not the untruths and conspiracy theories being peddled by their targets.

Yes, no doubt it would appear that the case against fluoride being added to Queensland's water supply, in a number of council jurisdictions, is built almost entirely on an almost endless stream of hypothetical pseudo science on the internet.

The anti-fluoride lobby will have it that fluoride causes damage to the mysterious pineal gland, which Syvret didn't specifically mention, inside the human brain, and that water fluoridation is all part of a New World Order conspiracy to make us all dopes and simpletons who lose our imagination and intelligence - zombies who lose the capability and brain power to challenge the government of the day and NWO.

Sounds awefully far fetched and unbelievable doesn't it. Chances are that fluoride is just like chlorine and other "foreign matter" added to our town water supply - meaning the less the better.


No doubt the anti- fluoride lobby revels in sensationalism, but at the same time, I think we should keep an open mind about the virtual guarantee being offered by fluoride defenders like Syvret and the dental fraternity that long term ingestion of fluoride doesn't pose any potential health risks to humans.

Fluoride been abominated out of the water supply in various overseas countries. Admittedly, the amount added to mains water in Australia is relatively low. But still, if it's so harmless and not a health hazard, why has it been banned elsewhere? Syvret and friends should answer that.
