MAN WHO WAGED WAR ON COON CHEESE HAS HIS EYES SET ON NAMES OF THINGS THAT ARE "ACTUALLY" RACIST IN QUEENSLAND

Activist Stephen Hagan's campaign for an audit of racist and offensive names of landmarks and locations to be undertaken in Queensland, such as "Murdering Creek Road" obviously has merit.

Much unlike Hagan's militant campaign over the space of around 20 years aimed at the Coon cheese company, which forced the company who manufactured this cheese, which was started by the "Coon family", to change the name of it.

Totally over the top, unreasonable and unwarranted. That sums up Hagan's spiteful, unrelenting attack on this company, full well knowing that there was absolutely no racist connotation relating to the brand name Coon cheese. It is the surname of the company's founders for goodness sake.

So as much as Hagan's demands for an audit of Queensland place names with an "actual racist connotation" should be genuinely considered and acted upon by the state government, it's important to remember who Hagan is, and his past form. He is a ruthless bully and pandering to his every demand would be a mistake.
